This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released in 2015 that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. Promo-only Various Artist compilation albums with Dylan tracks are now included in this list. Other International Albums and Compilations are now here:

This stereo vinyl compilation for Record Store Day, 18 Apr 2015, includes Please Mrs. Henry by Bob Dylan and The Band from The Basement Tapes, probably the 2014 restored version from The Bootleg Series Vol. 11 - The Basement Tapes Raw/Complete. This album was put together by long-time friends Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head Brewery, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, USA, and Adam Block of Sony Music’s Legacy Recordings, hence the Dogfish Head logo on the front. It also contains a cover of You Ain't Goin' Nowhere by The Byrds. The record has Dogfish Head/Legacy labels and comes in a plain white inner sleeve with rounded corners.
My copy has a Record Store Day front sticker and also a £24.99 price sticker from Badlands, Cheltenham. Tim Dunn has a promo CD version of this album, Dogfish Head/Legacy 88875070412, with text "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY - NOT FOR SALE" on the rear below the track listing.

Bob's contribution to this 4CD set of electric guitar-driven tracks in the "Ultimate" series is Buckets Of Rain from Blood On The Tracks, track 3 on CD3, a somewhat strange selection, considering the compiler could have instead chosen one of many Dylan tracks with blistering guitar work by Mike Bloomfield or Robbie Robertson. CD3 also contains a cover of Down In The Flood by The Derek Trucks Band. Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds, track 7 on CD1, is also included, certainly because of Roger McGuinn's 12-string guitar. The European release was made in Germany and comes in a four-panel digipak, the South African set comes in a double-width jewel case.

This 2CD set consists of 15 songs originally in English translated into French by Johnny Hallyday on CD1, and their English source versions by the original artists on CD2. Bob's contribution is If You Gotta Go, Go Now, out-take from Bringing It All Back Home (Take 4), recorded at Columbia Studios, New York, 15 Jan 1965, the version released on The Bootleg Series Vols. 1-3, 1991 (not the 1967 single version as originally thought, see 1967). This is track 3 on CD2, while track 3 on CD1 is Johnny's version, translated as "Maintenant Ou Jamais [Now Or Never]". |

"Salut Les Copains [Hello Friends/Hi Buddies]" was a French music magazine that was very influential in the 1960s and 1970s, and which contributed to the popularity of Johnny Hallyday and other contemporary French artists. It was renamed "Salut!" in 1994 but folded in 2006. The name lives on as a series of CD compilations released in France by Universal, of which this is one. As well as Various Artist compilations such as Hits 1966-1969, other artists who have "Salut Les Copains" compilations are Eddy Mitchell and Patricia Carli.

Don't Think Twice, It's All Right from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan was played over the closing credits of the final episode (episode 13). The song was not on the 2008 Manhattan Records soundtrack album, but is included in this 24 track album released to coincide with the release of the limited edition Mad Men: The Complete Collection Gift Set (23 discs) and Mad Men: The Final Season, Part 2 on Blu-ray and DVD on 13 Oct 2015 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. There is also a special edition limited-edition 12” vinyl 2LP set complete with a Crosley Executive Turntable in a "Mad Men" case.
The album includes two new songs performed by stars of the series, The Best Things In Life Are Free performed by Robert Morse a.k.a. Bertram Cooper, as well as a performance of C’est Magnifique by Christina Hendrick a.k.a. Joan Harris/Joan Holloway. The 24 song track listing features classics from Roy Orbison, Peter, Paul, & Mary, The Beach Boys, The Zombies, Nancy Sinatra, and more. Tim Dunn says the CD and 2LP sets are exclusive to Barnes & Noble, otherwise it is available only as a download.

Compilations with Out of Copyright Tracks
Sony let the copyright to the 1962 releases of Bob Dylan and Bob's first single Mixed Up Confusion expire in 2012. This has led to many budget record labels releasing unauthorised editions of Bob Dylan or including tracks from the album on compilations without authorisation. These are now listed separately from the other Various Artists Compilations. Sony has of course rectified this situation by renewing the copyrights of the albums from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan onwards, and with the limited edition 50th Anniversary Collection releases from 1962 onwards.
