Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site.

This 4LP
Swedish boxed set from a book club contains More Bob Dylan's Greatest
Hits, Slow Train Coming and Infidels. All the LPs were
made in Holland. These are:

*The distinction between “myth” and “legend” made in English isn’t made in other European languages – they’re both types of traditional stories, but basically a “myth” is a story that was never actually true, whereas a “legend” is a story that is based on true events or people. This means an “urban legend” should actually be called an “urban myth”, while Bob’s certainly a legend and definitely not a myth!

The "Mitos Musicales"
set was also released as two cassettes, again sold in a box with the same book
as the LP version - the box holds both cassettes and the book. Each tape has a different image on
the insert with logo of "Los Mitos Musicales" on the spine and
individual catalogue numbers: 44461/1 for Bob Dylan's
Greatest Hits with the UK tracklist
and the 2:06 edit of Rainy Day Women #12 & 35
and 44461/2 for Empire Burlesque. However, the tapes themselves are identical to the standard commercial releases, each one with its own catalogue number: Greatest Hits (40-62847) and Empire Burlesque (40-86313). |

There are two different insert designs: two copies are shown, one where the the card of Greatest Hits has multiple background CBS logos on the left, not present on the Empire Burlesque insert; and one where both inserts are the same, with no background CBS logos on the left. There must be copies available where the cassette of Empire Burlesque also has the multiple background CBS logos on the left of the insert!
"The Times They Are A-Changin'"/"Bob Dylan" - 2

Are A-Changin' on Side 1 and Bob Dylan on Side 2.

The US cassette release has a short insert blank on the inside. The catalogue number is "CGT 38221" on the insert but just "GT 38221" on the cassette itself. You're No Good from Bob Dylan is mistitled as "She's No Good" on the insert and Side 2 of the cassette. The cassette is in an off-white plastic case with black text, there are no paper labels. "MADE IN U.S.A." is pressed into the plastic on Side 2 only. |

The UK cassette was sold at what was then mid-price (£6.29). The inside of the cassette insert lists the album tracks, but there's no other information or artwork. You're No Good from Bob Dylan is again mistitled as "She's No Good" on both sides of the insert. The cassette is in a white plastic case with black text, there are no paper labels. |

You're No Good from Bob Dylan is correctly titled on the insert and the cassettes. None of the four cassettes shown have paper labels. The first release cassette is grey, the second release cassettes are off-white. The first release cassette has black text and the second release cassettes have blue text. There are two variants of the second release: variant 1 has the same sized centre window as the first release, with "100-50-0" below it, variant 2 has a deeper window without the numbers, the same as that of the third release. The third release cassette is in a transparent smoked grey case with white text. The third release cassette insert is blank on the reverse. |

This 2LP set comes in a gatefold sleeve with the front sleeves of the single albums on the outside and the rear sleeves on the inside of the gatefold. The records have red CBS labels. Record 1 (Blood on the Tracks) is housed in a red inner sleeve, record 2 (Another Side of Bob Dylan) has a plain white inner sleeve. Matrix numbers for record 1 are: Side 1 - CXAL-33235-2C (stamped), 12-69097-1A-1 (stamped), plus "COLUMBIA NY" and "NL", Side 2 - S 69097-B1 (handwritten). Record 1 (The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan) is housed in a CBS "Nice Price" inner sleeve, record 2 (Nashville Skyline) has a picture inner sleeve showing the rear sleeves of the albums. This Spanish release of the Dutch 1989 2LP set again comes in a blue
gatefold sleeve, this time printed by Offset ALG of Madrid. The front has
a "Doble Precio Redondo [Double Nice Price]" sticker. The records again have red CBS labels and were made in Spain by Tecnodisco S.A. The records are actually dated 1990. Girl Of The North Country is misspelled "Gilr" on Side 3 (the record sides are again numbered 1 to 4 as the Dutch release above). |

This set in a 12" x 12" box contains six
Australian Dylan releases. The outside of the box is card and the internal CD
or cassette box is hard plastic. The box contains a foam insert with four cut-outs to hold CDs or
six cut-outs to hold cassettes. There was also a very limited vinyl release (not shown). Thanks to Stuart Moore for the scans of an article from "The Australian Record Collector", Apr 1994, describing the circumstances of this release and the versions. |
