This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released in 2010 that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. Promo-only Various Artist compilation albums with Dylan tracks are now included in this list. Other International Compilations are now here:

This 2CD set with Bob's picture on the front was compiled by Ricky Koole and Leo Blokhuis and released in association with the Dutch newspaper "De Volkskrant". All the songs in the compilation were not released until some time after the time of recording.

The set is in a double digipak in a slipcase with a booklet. Bob's contribution on CD2 is appropriately Blind Willie McTell, the 1983 out-take from Infidels that was not officially released until 1991 on The Bootleg Series Vols. 1-3.

This unique compilation features 20 versions of Blowin' In The Wind from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan including live performance by Bob as track 4. Other artists include Dionne Warwick, Cher, Marianne Faithful, Joan Baez, Trini Lopez and The Seekers, though not the Peter, Paul and Mary cover version that broke Bob as a songwriter.

Bob's contribution to this 2CD compilation of "sexy songs" unique to Australia is Lay, Lady, Lay from Nashville Skyline on CD2, this time listed as being from the 2000 compilation The Essential Bob Dylan.

This soundtrack album of songs from Season 2 of the US HBO TV vampire series "True Blood" starring Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer includes Beyond Here Lies Nothin' from Together Through Life. The song was played over the closing credits of the final episode of the season. The front insert is a single fold-out sheet with six panels, with a poster on the reverse side.

"True Blood" is based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels of Charlaine Harris, published by Ace Books in the USA. For the 2009 US TV series, see VHS & DVD (Items with Dylan Album Tracks) 2000s Part 2.

This 3CD "Owner's Workshop Manual" mimics the much-loved Haynes UK series of car and motorcycle workshop manuals, invaluable for people who do their own car maintenance or are restoring an old car/bike. Bob is represented by Subterranean Homesick Blues from Bringing It All Back Home, track 19 on CD2.

This CD by Rhythms Del Mundo is being sold to benefit Artists Project Earth, a UK organisation focusing on disaster relief and climate change awareness. Other artists appearing are Gorillaz, Dizzee Rascal, Franz Ferdinand and Cold Play.

As this contains a rarity, an Afro-Cuban remix of A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, full details are in 2010.

Thanks to "Isis" newsletter 151½ for information about this amazing 13CD set of 334 tracks which comes in a 12" box with a 304 page illustrated hardback book. Bob's contribution is Masters Of War from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan on CD1. Other artists include The Doors, Joan Baez, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, John Lennon, Yoko Ono and Country Joe McDonald. As well as songs, the CDs include rarely heard documentary material including patriotic Public Service Announcements, field news reports and intercepted North Vietnamese radio transmissions of Jane Fonda and Hanoi Hannah. Bob's contribution is Subterranean Homesick Blues from Bringing It All Back Home. I assume from the description that the song is not actually used in the movie!

This compilation in the same series as Blowin' In The Wind: 20 Versions above has Bob's version of the song from Bob Dylan. Other artists include Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, The Animals and Jimi Hendrix, and what's claimed to be the first recorded version by Georgia Turner from 1937.

This new TV series based on the 1989 film starring Steve Martin and Mary Steenburgen has Forever Young by Bob Dylan and The Band from Planet Waves (the slow version) as its signature tune. The TV series soundtrack album including the Dylan song was released in the USA by Scion Music Group on 5 Oct 2010. It also features a duet of Forever Young by John Doe and Lucy Schwartz.

This Japan-only compilation of songs "inspired by the film 'Norwegian Wood'" includes Visions of Johanna and Temporary Like Achilles from. Blonde On Blonde. Of course, the Dylan song from that album most compared to the Beatles song is Fourth Time Around! The album also includes Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds and songs from Fleetwood Mac, Harry Nilsson, Van Morrison and Can. The film "Noruwei No Mori [Norwegian Wood]" will be released in Japan on 11 Mar 2011.
