This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released from 2004 onwards that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site.

See the Promotional Albums pages of  International Promotional Releases for promo-only Various Artist compilation albums with Dylan tracks. Other International Compilations are now here:

Various Artists - "John Lennon's Jukebox" - Virgin/EMI VTDCD 608 (UK), 6 Mar 2004:

Virgin/EMI VTDCD 608 (UK) - front
Bob's contribution to this 2CD set of songs loved by John Lennon is Positively 4th Street on CD1. This is a tie-in with a programme broadcast on ITV in the UK on 14 Mar 2004 called "John Lennon's Jukebox", part of the South Bank Show series hosted by Melvyn Bragg. John Lennon's jukebox from the 1960s still exists with its original contents and labels handwritten by John Lennon himself, as illustrated on the front insert of the CD. There were 41 7" singles inside, and the album has all 41 A-sides. The jukebox must therefore contain the original 1965 7" US Columbia or UK CBS single with Positively 4th Street/From A Buick 6 - see Mono 7" Singles & EPs 1965.

Information from Éamonn Ó Catháin. Thanks also to "HwyCDRrev" for the information that the TV programme was shown on PBS in the USA on 9 Sep 2004. Thanks to Hans Seegers for scans.

Bob's contribution is Just Like A Woman from Blonde On Blonde on the CD called Pluggin' In (orange with dark red text) and Gotta Serve Somebody from Slow Train Coming on the CD called For Your Love (green with yellow text).

I have no information so far about whether there is a Dylan performance on the bonus DVD.

The insert of the Pluggin' In CD claims it was previously published as CD1 of the 1997 Time-Life set called RIAA Gold And Platinum: The Ultimate Rock Collection 1964-1995 - see the appropriate page in this International Compilations list (links at top and bottom of this page). However, I Want To Hold Your Hand by The Beatles has been replaced as track 1 by Do You Believe In Magic? by The Lovin' Spoonful - the other 19 tracks are the same. Pluggin' In is also available separately as a sampler 2CD set called Introducing Legends: Pluggin' In And Do It Again, with another CD from this set called Do It Again (no Dylan involvement).
