This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released between 2000 and 2001 that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site.
See the Promotional Albums pages of International Promotional Releases for promo-only Various Artist compilation albums with Dylan tracks. Other International Compilations are now here:
There must be hundreds of these albums from round the world! This page is incomplete. If you have any entries to add to the list or additions/corrections to
existing entries, please let me know!
Please note I cannot value your Dylan rarities -
see the Mission page for reasons why. Contact the
dealers on my Trading page for assistance!
Revised 29 April, 2008.

The 2001 Mexican release is retitled Loco Fin De Semana [Crazy Weekend]
and has the multi-picture front cover. Thanks to Hans Seegers for information
and scans. Now both Blood On The Tracks and Oh Mercy have been released in remastered hybrid SACD versions both R-0320 and R-0321 become redundant. The two remastered tracks were in significantly better quality than on the regular Columbia CDs at the time, but they have now been superseded. This soundtrack album also contains another Dylan song, Not Dark Yet from Time Out Of Mind - this is the regular album version (not yet released in hybrid SACD format). |

This soundtrack album is from the Norman Jewison film
about jailed boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, starring Denzel
Washington. Bob's contribution is his song about Rubin Carter, Hurricane, the album version from Desire.
A "rap" version of the song is also performed by Black Thought,
Common and Mos Def. For a Dec 1999 promo CD single from this album, see
Promotional Singles 1990-99. The US release shown is still sealed. The UK release was distributed throughout Europe. In France the album was sold in a slipcase with the different cover shown. There was also a UK promo "In Cinema Sampler" that came with the regular artwork. For the film release, see Video and DVD: Films with Dylan Album Tracks.
