This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released between 1990 and 1995 that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site.

This 4CD set was released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of New York radio station WNEW-FM - proceeds went to the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Foundation. The set is housed in a four-tray folded digipak, inside a slipcase.

It also has covers of Highway 61 Revisited by Johnny Winter and All Along The Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix. The 1969-1970 disc contains Lay, Lady, Lay from Nashville Skyline.

This CD was probably sold to passengers on airline flights as a souvenir of the "in-flight entertainment". Bob's contribution is Blowin' In The Wind, the regular album version from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.

Various Artists - 16 Legendäre Hits [16 Legendary Hits] - compilation CDs, Arag Lebensversicherungs AG [Arag Life Insurance AG] 6.055 (Germany), 1993/6.161 (Germany), 1995:
These two albums were given away by a German Life Insurance company in 1993 and 1995. The first CD was also in association with Harley Davidson.

These two similar CD compilations both contained Like A Rolling Stone and Blowin' In The Wind, regular album versions.

Arag 6.055 from 1993 has the sub-title "Die Hits zum Harley Davidson Gewinnspiel der ARAG Lebensversicherung [Hits from the Harley Davidson Competition of ARAG Life Insurance]". The CD itself is made in Sweden.

Arag 6.161 from 1995 has a different selection of non-Dylan tracks and the shorter sub-title "Die Hits zum Gewinnspiel der ARAG Lebensversicherungs-AG [Hits from the Competition of ARAG Life Insurance AG]". The CD itself is made in Germany.

Bob's contribution to this set is Desolation Row from Highway 61 Revisited, the last track on CD2. He didn't perform at the 1970 Isle Of Wight concert, but for the reason Desolation Row is included in this compilation, see 1995. Unlike the UK Essential set listed there, this Japanese release and the later Columbia USA release contain the full version of Desolation Row. The US release is in a slimline double CD jewel case, not the double-width case of the UK release. The Japanese release is in a double-width case with a red/black/yellow obi.

This series was issued by Rhino in 1995 as Hillbilly Fever! and then cheekily repackaged as Heroes Of Country Music in 1996! Bob's contribution is Tonight I'm Staying Here With You from Nashville Skyline on Vol. 5, Legends Of Country Rock.

The first front insert shows Linda Ronstadt and Gram Parsons, and the second shows Doug Weston's Troubadour, 9081 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA, where many acts of the California country-rock scene performed.

Bob's contribution to this album is It's All Over Now, Baby Blue from Bringing It All Back Home, frequently performed by The Grateful Dead.

The limited edition 12" vinyl picture disc came in a clear plastic sleeve with the numbered leaflet below.

The CD contained an order form to buy the cover art by Robert Crumb on a T-shirt.

Both releases have the same catalogue number. There was additionally a cassette release, Shanachie SH-6014.
