There must be hundreds of these albums from round the world! This
list is still incomplete. If you have any entries to add to the list or additions/corrections to
existing entries, please let me know!
Please note I cannot value your Dylan rarities -
see the Mission page for reasons why. Contact the
dealers on my Trading page for assistance!
Revised 01 January, 2012.
This is a separate multi-year list by release date of commercially-released Various Artist stereo compilation albums released between 1970 and 1979 that have been referred to me but do not qualify for my Searching For A Gem list because they contain only Bob Dylan performances which are available on officially released Dylan albums. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. All promo-only Various Artist Compilation albums and Radio Station Albums with Dylan tracks are now here.
To eliminate cross-references there are now no links to other pages in this list, please use the links at the top and bottom of the page.
For previous and later entries in this list, see the links above.

Bob Dylan - "Self Portrait"/Johnny Rivers - "Slim Slo Slider" - radio station LP, American Forces Radio & Television Service RL 3-1 (USA), Jun 1970:
This 2LP set came in a gatefold sleeve. Inside the UK cover there's a sticker proclaiming "Two Record Set Will Knock You Out: R.R.P. 29/11". ("R.R.P." is "Recommended Retail Price, 29/11 is £1.49 is today's UK currency.)
Bob's contribution was Days Of '49 from Self Portrait on Side 2. Other artists in the set include It's A Beautiful Day, The Byrds, Miles Davis, Soft Machine, Santana, Argent, Spirit, Robert Wyatt, Shuggie Otis and Al Kooper. Hans Seegers informs me that the album was released in the UK and Holland with the same serial number, and the Dutch release was also distributed in West Germany and France. The picture on the gatefold sleeve (shown on its side) is a young Arnold Schwarzenegger! This is repeated on Side 1 of each of the UK records, which have the track listings for both Side 1 and Side 2 on Side 2. The Dutch record labels are designed more conventionally. Each of the UK records is in a CBS UK paper inner sleeve with the "Rock Buster" logo. The front shows albums with the theme "Heavy on CBS" (The Byrds, Janis Joplin, Blood Sweat & Tears, Soft Machine, etc.), The rear shows more albums with the theme "Sounds of the 70s on CBS" (Leonard Cohen, The Chambers Brothers, Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, Al Kooper, etc.). The rear inner sleeve shows the then CBS postal address of CBS Records, 28/30 Theobalds Road, London WC1.
This set was released in Spain in 1971 as Rock 71. It was manufactured by Cosafa for CBS Records in Madrid. The records have the same picture disc label design as the UK release.
Thanks to Fred Muller for details of the UK album, to Kenneth Robson for scans, and to Hans Seegers for scans of the Dutch release. Thanks to Bill Hester for information about and scans of the New Zealand release. Thanks to Manuel Garcia Jara for information about and scans of the 1971 Spanish release.
