This page lists Bob Dylan-only stereo promotional albums in all formats from 1966 onwards. They do not contain rarities, but are none the less very collectable. This page only lists albums released solely for promotional purposes including radio station LPs - promo copies of commercially released albums are included on the same page as the commercial album. For other stereo promotional albums, see the links above.

If you have any entries to add to the list or additions/corrections to existing entries, please let me know! Please note I cannot value your Dylan rarities - see the Mission page for reasons why. Contact the dealers on my Trading page for assistance!

1966

"Gaumont Theatre Sheffield/Free Trade Hall Manchester" - four single-sided acetates, Columbia Recording Studios, Nashville, TN (USA), 1966:

Acetate 1 - picture from "On The Tracks", 1999, scan by C P Lee
The first two pictures are of single-sided acetates described in an article in "On The Tracks" in 1999. They are both Manchester, England, 17 May 1966, but exact track lists are not known.

The second two single-sided acetates were found by Annie West in Oct 2004. One is from Sheffield, England, 16 May 1966, and contains It's All Over Now, Baby Blue and Desolation Row. The second is from Manchester, 17 May 1966, but again the exact contents are not known. She says: "I'm in Sligo Ireland by the way, and the story of the acetates is that they came from Bob Johnson when he was here producing an album for the Waterboys. he gave them away (after trying to sell them) and they ended up in my house where I found them at the very bottom of a box full of albums for throwing out!"

For the long-awaited release of the Manchester 1966 concert in 1998 as The Bootleg Series Vol. 4: Bob Dylan Live 1966 - The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert, see  International Albums (Regular).

For performances included in 1991 on a CD with Il Dizionario del Rock, an Italian part-work magazine, which are probably from the Manchester Free Trade Hall concert, see Questionable Releases.

Thanks to Annie West and C P Lee for information and scans.
