Bob Dylan - CD releases
|
This is the first page of a new section of original releases by release date of international commercially-released regular stereo Dylan albums. They do not contain rarities or obscurities and are not eligible for the Searching For A Gem list. Nevertheless, their interest value or scarcity means they're worth listing here - as far as I know some are not included on any other Internet site. Promo releases of regular albums are now listed here and not in the yearly Promo sections. This page is still incomplete - more entries required. For releases of this album in CBS/Columbia multi-packs, see International Album Releases (Regular) - Multi-Packs. For LP and tape releases of Bob Dylan, click Up. |
If you have any entries to add to the list or additions/corrections to
existing entries, please let me know!
Please note I cannot value your Dylan rarities -
see the Mission page for reasons why. Contact the
dealers on my Trading page for assistance!
Revised 02 August, 2008.

Original US stereo LP, Columbia CS 8579, Mar 1962.
The photographer was Don Hunstein, a Columbia staff photographer. Viewers will note that the photograph has been reversed for some reason (probably so that the neck of the guitar didn't obscure the Columbia logo)! For mono releases of this album, see Mono Album Releases. |

The equivalent 2005 remastered Japanese release comes in a card sleeve
reproducing the LP sleeve with a top orange obi. The obi has date "05-9-21"
along with the date of original release "62-3-19". The price is ¥1.890. There is a folded insert
containing Japanese language sleeve notes plus lyrics in English and
Japanese. The CD itself is in a clear polythene sleeve inside a generic
inner sleeve shown below. The front sticker, different from the ones on the 2004 Japanese releases in card sleeves, advertises the free six-track CD Bob Dylan Live At Carnegie Hall 1963 (see 2005). In Japan this can only be obtained in exchange for five vouchers, one from each of the following newly-released albums (the purple voucher is shown below):
Thanks to Michio Kinoshita for information about these albums. |

(That was when I started using a new counter - I estimate that around 700,000 people previously visited the site since its set-up in mid-1998.)
